The region we chose, the appartment we lived in and before all the relation with our hostess, Signora Silvia, have transformed our holidays in an unforgettable pleasure.
We, an older couple, came from Belgium by car for a two weeks stay in July. We were looking for a decelarating holiday with good food and wine in a region to discover.
Our stay at “I tre torchi” in Mombercelli fully met and even exceeded our expectations. The appartment at the first floor has been newly constructed and provides plain comfort in spacious rooms with a tasty equipment. The roomy terrace opens a panoramic view on the typical hillside of the region: little villages and isolated houses scattered over the hilltops and valleys, surrounded by the famous Barbera and Moscato vineyards, hazel-nut plantings and groves with the precious white truffles. On clear days, the view reaches to the Alps and the Apennines. Staying at “I tre torchi” was as such a perfect way to discover the Monferrato region, that prodigious part of Piedmont that rightly aspires to be listed as UNESCO World Heritage site.
We were granted the privilege of getting a deeper insight and perception of the regional culture and way of life thanks to Signora Silvia. Our hostess provided us with maps and tourist information that helped us to plan our trips. She recommended us many good restaurants and local producers where we were warmly welcomed. In fact, Signora Silvia develops very actively her relationships with the other members of the Astesana network who promote a quality tourism in respect of the local culture and landscape. With her warm-hearted hospitality and her outstanding service-mindedness, Signora Silvia provided us the key for a still better understanding of the region we came to discover.

Io ci sono stata nel periodo della fiera del tartufo di Alba, con una amica e la mia cagnetta. Ci siamo trovate non bene, BENISSIMO!!! Proprietaria di una gentilezza e disponibilità squisite, cagnolina accolta con tutti gli onori (in casa c'erano per lei ciotola di acqua, ciotola di croccantini e sacchettino di biscottini per cani fatti in casa!). Il posto è bellissimo, tranquillo, in mezzo al verde ma facilmente raggiungibile. In posizione strategica per Alba e per i dintorni, raggiungibili davvero in poco tempo. Una nota ancora più di merito è la colazione: la signora ci ha coccolate e viziate con ogni ben di dio, torta fatta in casa (una torta solo per noi 2!), biscotti, pane fresco, marmellata che prepara lei... Insomma un posto splendido da consigliare a chiunque cerchi pace, bellezza del luogo e ospitalità piena di calore ma discreta.
