Mombercelli is the town where bread is called wine.

This signal welcomes who arrives by car from Asti and says it all about this small beautiful town: its life is fed by wine.

The landscape is composed mainly by vineyards, sweet hills planted generally with Barbera D.O.C. The social wine cellar offers quality wines.

The Museo della Vite e del Vino (museum of vine and wine), is a refined digression in time, from the fossils to nowadays’ environment, with the collection of rare objects connected to wine and its production, with a special reference to Mombercelli and the Valle Tiglione (Tiglione valley).
There is not only wine, anyway. In Mombercelli there is also a Modern Art Museum, hosted in the old prison. It can be visited on Sundays and only on appointment during the week.
At the centre of the town, beside the nice XVII century church, there are the impressive remains of the castle, recently restructured.
The local cuisine is enriched by the rare white truffle, because in the surrounding hills there are plenty of them, and the Mombercelli inhabitants say that it is the best in the world.
When you move from the residence “I Tre Torchi”, you can have relaxing walks or bicycle rides on tracks that have been specifically created, and of which we will provide you with all the maps. If you wish to move a little further using your car, at a small distance there are the natural parks of Valsarmassa e di Rocchetta Tanaro. (Further link)
